The series use science fiction to explore practical, ethical, moral and philosophical issues in a futuristic universe in which technological progress and the evolution of humankind need not necessarily go hand in hand-although we think it might. Does the future hold for us a qbetterq version of ourselves as a species? What if our civilization were threatened-and threatened by alien beings responsible for our very existence?
